Set Up UiChemy MCP
Connect UiChemy MCP to run AI Express Mode conversions from Claude, Cursor, Codex, or Antigravity.
The Figma plugin is the recommended way to use AI Express Mode. If you'd rather build with AI tools you already use, UiChemy MCP is for you.
What it is: connect UiChemy MCP and run conversions from tools like Claude, Cursor, Codex, or Antigravity, right where you work, without switching tabs. For example, share a Figma design link with your AI tool and ask it to convert the design into a Proton Widget on your connected site. It's optional, and available for Elementor for now.
To use this path, you set your UiChemy mode to MCP (below), instead of the Figma plugin.
Before you start
- You've set up the WordPress plugin and can reach the UiChemy dashboard. See Set up the UiChemy WordPress plugin.
- Node.js 18 or newer is installed on your computer (your AI tool uses it to connect).
- You're signed in as an Administrator.
Step 1: Choose MCP mode
In the setup wizard, choose UiChemy MCP as your mode. Already past setup? Use Switch Mode on the dashboard.
There's no separate switch to flip on, choosing the mode is what sets it up.

Step 2: Copy the config for your tool
UiChemy shows a ready-to-paste configuration with a tab for each tool: Prompt, Claude Desktop, Codex, Cursor, and Antigravity. Pick your tool's tab and copy the config.
An Application Password is generated for you and embedded in the config, so the connection is ready to use.
Shortcuts:
- Claude Desktop has an Auto Connect button that copies a single terminal command to write the config for you.
- Cursor has an Add to Cursor button.

You can also find this config later on the UiChemy dashboard's Add the UiChemy MCP card, with the same tabs and a Regenerate button.
Step 3: Add it to your tool
- Paste the config into your tool, saving it to the file path UiChemy shows for that tool.
- Restart the tool so it picks up the new connection.
- Point your tool at your design and ask it to convert.
The output is the same native, editable Proton Widget you get from the Figma plugin.

Keep your Application Password private. Anyone with it can connect to this site. Rotate it anytime with Regenerate on the dashboard.
If it doesn't work
- Your tool can't connect. Confirm Node.js 18+ is installed, then restart the tool.
- "Administrator access required." MCP needs an Administrator account.
- The config looks incomplete. Generate an Application Password first, the real values only appear once one exists.
